Lawyers across the globe are looking to us for support. We travel to monitor their trials, we advocate for their cases locally, as well as with the United Nations or the European Union. We also publish reports and focus attention on lawyers who have been jailed for their work.

WE EMPOWER LAWYERS AND ASSOCIATIONS TO FULFIL THEIR ROLE IN UPHOLDING HUMAN RIGHTS.
We connect lawyers with their peers in the Netherlands, and further support our colleagues worldwide by sharing knowledge and expertise, including providing training on international law mechanisms. Fact-finding missions enable us to bear witness first-hand to the situations our colleagues are facing, and advocate for change on the basis of our findings.
Influence
WE ADVOCATE FOR LAWS, POLICIES AND PRACTICES THAT ENSURE PROTECTION FOR THE INDEPENDENCE AND SAFETY OF LAWYERS
We advocate for a free and independent legal profession. You will find us regularly presenting at the Human Rights Council in Geneva, as well as actively seeking audiences with representatives of individual governments. In the Netherlands, we organise meetings for Dutch lawyers to make them aware of the difficulties being faced by their colleagues.
