Support our campaigns to defend lawyers and uphold justice worldwide
Access to Justice Campaign
For years, Lawyers for Lawyers has been in contact with lawyers from several countries who represent clients who are presumed to be members of the LGBTQIA+ community or perceived as having same-sex relationships.
From these lawyers, we have come to learn that they are often subjected to harassment and threats in connection to their work on these cases. To support these lawyers, we designed the ‘Access to Justice Campaign’, which launched on 16 May 2024 and will run until 2026.
Environmental Lawyers Campaign
In order to provide public recognition and support to environmental lawyers at risk, Lawyers for Lawyers has launched an ‘Environmental Lawyers Campaign‘ on 19 May 2022.
In recent years, attacks against environmental lawyers have increased significantly. The campaign aims to raise international attention on environmental lawyers who are being intimidated, harassed or are otherwise at risk because of their work and to create more international solidarity and knowledge by sharing ‘success stories’, i.e. successful cases taken up by environmental lawyers.
#FreetheLawyers Campaign
Guided by our target group, we have developed the Free The Lawyers Campaign (The Campaign), a campaign focused on detained lawyers, consisting of a series of activities, including interventions, social media campaigns, individual petitions and submissions as well as advocacy on targeted cases from different parts of the world.
The Campaign aims to provide protective publicity and support to lawyers who are serving long prison sentences because of their work by generating public recognition of their situation.
