China Vermiste advocaat krijgt award toegekend

Op 6 augustus 2010 werd aan Gao Zhisheng, de vermiste Chinese advocaat die eerder dit jaar opdook maar nu opnieuw vermist wordt, de International Human Rights Lawyer Award toegekend door de American Bar Association. De prijs werd in ontvangst genomen door zijn dochter, Geng Ge. Zij woont sinds maart 2010 met haar moeder en broertje in de Verenigde Staten omdat het voor hen onveilig was om in China te blijven. Van Gao is het onbekend of hij gevangen zit, of dat hij zich zoals eerder heeft teruggetrokken en zich stil moet houden.
