Colombia Six recent cases of lawyers being killed

Different sources have informed L4L on the recent murders of as many as six lawyers in Colombia. Eduardo Antonio Almario Martinez and Daniel Alejandro Almario Calderon were murdered on the 24th of January 2013. Amaury Manuel Saez Coronado was found mutilated and murdered on the 7th of March, after having disappeared on the 4th of February. Jorge Juan Gomez Guerrero was murdered on the 28th of February, Jhonny Alberto Balarezo Ortiz was murdered on the 1st of March and Diego Luis Garcia Gonzalez was murdered on 21 March.
Lawyers for Lawyers is concerned about the amount of lawyers that are killed in Colombia and calls on the Colombian government to thoroughly investigate the murders.
