Event on the legal challenges for members and advocates of the LGBT+ community

On Thursday 26 November from 4pm to 5pm CET, Lawyers for Lawyers and NautaDutilh will be hosting a webinar on the (legal) challenges that members and advocates of the LGBT+ community still face today, with a specific focus on the situation in the Netherlands and in Uganda.

At this webinar, our special guest Shibolo Awali Sean, human rights lawyer and LGBT+ rights defender from Uganda, will share with us his experiences as a human rights lawyer representing members of the LGBT+ community in Uganda. He will be joined by a panel consisting of, inter alia, Boudewijn Smit, lawyer at NautaDutilh and active spokesperson for LGBT+ inclusiveness in the Netherlands, including within the legal profession. The panel will exchange its experiences and discuss its thoughts on the future of the LGBT+ community in Uganda, the Netherlands and the rest of the world.

Interested?

Please be invited to join us at this webinar. If you want to register or have any questions for the panel members, please email them to events@lawyersforlawyers.nl  and we will make an effort to include them in the panel discussion. It is also possible to ask questions during the seminar via the chat function.
