Pakistan Oproep aan nieuwe regering om aanklachten tegen vrijgelaten advocaten in te trekken

Hoewel de nieuwe Pakistaanse regering de advocaten en rechters, die na het uitroepen van de noodtoestand op 3 november 2007 waren opgepakt, op borgtocht heeft vrijgelaten, zijn de aanklachten tegen hen nog steeds niet ingetrokken.

In een gezamenlijk verklaring heeft L4L de Pakistaanse autoriteiten opgeroepen onmiddellijk de onafhankelijke rechtspraak te herstellen en de veiligheid van rechters en advocaten te garanderen. Zie hier en hier twee verschillende gezamenlijke verklaringen die L4L heeft ondertekend.
