Filipijnen Buitenlandse Zaken en Hoge Raad reageren op Filipijnen-rapport IVFFM

Het rapport van de International Verification and Fact Finding Mission (IVFFM) naar de buitengerechtelijke moorden op advocaten en rechters op de Filippijnen kan op waardering rekenen van Minister-President Balkenende, Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Verhagen en Minister van Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Koenders. Dat blijkt uit een schriftelijke reactie van het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Volgens de reactie zal de Nederlandse regering “…zich in de toekomst blijven inspannen om de mensenrechtensituatie […] bilateraal en op Europees niveau onder de aandacht te brengen.” Ook president van de Hoge Raad Corstens complimenteert de IVFFM.
