Seminar – Day of the Endangered Lawyer (Azerbaijan)

The Day of the Endangered Lawyer 2021 focuses on Azerbaijan. The Law Society of England and Wales, ELDH, Deutscher Anwaltverein and Lawyers for Lawyers invite you to a seminar on some of the challenges faced by lawyers practising their profession in Azerbaijan.

The seminar will take place from 2.00-3.30 pm (UK time) on Thursday 21 January 2021. In particular, this seminar will address: (i) the legal profession in Azerbaijan and access to justice, (ii) admission to the Bar, (iii) disciplinary proceedings, including disbarment, (iv) lawyers’ right to freedom of expression, and (v) cases of Azeri lawyers before the European Court of Human Rights.
