L4L Oekraïense advocate in Nederland op uitnodiging van L4L

Op uitnodiging van L4L bracht Oekraïense advocate Valentyna Telychenko van 20 tot en met 23 juni een bezoek aan Nederland. Telychenko is advocaat van de belangrijkste politieke tegenstanders van president Viktor Janoekovitsj: oud-premier Julia Timosjenko, oud-minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Joeri Loetsenko en oud-onderminister van Defensie Valeriy Ivashchenko.
 
Tijdens een inspirerende bijeenkomst voor de vrijwilligers van L4L vertelde Telychenko over haar werk en de moeilijkheden die Oekraïense advocaten ondervinden bij de uitoefening van hun beroep.
 
L4L heeft voor haar afspraken geregeld met onder andere Tweede Kamerleden en bij het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, waarbij Telychenko aandacht vroeg voor de situatie van advocaten en de Rule of Law in haar land.
