Arrestatie van advocaat

Advocaat Ebru Timtik, lid van progressieve advocaten vereniging (CHD), werd in september voor de Oostenrijkse Consulaat in Yeniköy gearresteerd. Zij was daar om handtekeningen te verzamelen voor een petitie ter ondersteuning van een van haar cliënten, wiens paspoort in beslag werd genomen in Oostenrijk. Ze werd gearresteerd op verdenking van “het maken van propaganda voor een terroristische organisatie”, maar werd kort daarna vrijgelaten door de rechter. Tijdens haar aanhouding zou zij mishandeld zijn; na de arrestatie had zij verschillende blauwe plekken op haar lichaam. De CHD heeft hierover een persverklaring uitgegeven.
